Tips & Tricks

Please don't wait until spring to prune overgrown plants! You will only be cutting off the new buds and potential for plants to push out their first and best growth for the season. Mid to late February is the cut off for heavy pruning with good results.
February is the time to apply pre-emergent and fertilizer to Fescue lawns. Once the Bradford Pears bloom we know the soil temps are increasing and weeds will start to germinate.
Water, water, water, your shrubs, trees, perennials and groundcover during days with 100+ degrees temps. When plants continually wilt and stress out, not only could they die, but they become susceptible to disease and insects.
